The team has been busy recently at 2 international conferences of the Society for Risk Analysis!
In December, we traveled to Austin, Texas (8–12 Dec 2024) for the SRA USA Annual Meeting. With a strong showing—Tom, Ivan, Alyssa, Mitch, Patrick, Logan, Marcelle, Nohah, Darcy, and colleagues Kendrick, Ruby, and Hugh—we shared our latest work on climate adaptation, from deep uncertainty to integrated climate risk assessments.

Then in February, we crossed the Tasman for the SRA Australia New Zealand conference in Melbourne (6–7 Feb 2025). This time Tom, Ivan, Alyssa, Mitch, Logan, Nohah, and Darcy represented the team, with several also helping organise the event—special thanks to Tom, Logan, and Chantelle. This marked the final conference of Tom’s term as SRA ANZ President. With nearly 90 attendees, the event continues to grow post-COVID, and it was great to reconnect with so many colleagues from the region.

We presented on a wide range of topics, including communicating climate adaptation risk, climate impacts on healthcare access, and climate adaptation from a kaupapa Māori perspective. We’re proud to be part of a growing community working across disciplines to advance climate risk and adaptation science.
