Thank you to our visiting academics: Dr Robyn Wilson and Dr David Johnson

From January to April, we were fortunate to host two visiting academics: Professor Robyn Wilson from The Ohio State University and Associate Professor David Johnson from Purdue University.

Dr Wilson joined us as an Erskine Fellow and delivered a graduate-level course on Risk Communication. Her teaching and the discussions offered valuable insights into how our climate adaptation work intersects with public engagement and decision-making, an exciting opportunity for our group and the other students.

They both gave a well-attended seminar to the Civil and Natural Resources Engineering department, offering valuable perspectives on research areas beyond our usual disciplinary focus.

Dr Johnson also led an afternoon workshop for the CURe cluster, Decision Making under Deep Uncertainty for Infrastructure Planning. The session provided an accessible overview of DMDU methods and introduced practical tools and applications.

It was a pleasure having you both with us. Thank you for sharing your expertise and being part of our team during your stay!
